Mohamed’s Journey To Transition Into His Own Room

Mohamed was 3.5 years old.

Let’s take a look together at Mohamed’s journey, from bed-sharing to sleeping in his own room.

History & Goals:

  • The whole family was bed-sharing and at the same time

  • They were expecting baby number 2 to arrive soon

  • They were ready for a room transition to get ready for the upcoming phase

The Plan:

  • Started introducing suitable sleep schedule

  • Ended late naps completely

  • Communicated and prepared some visual aids about the new sleep setup

  • Spent more playtime in his new room

  • Started sleeping in his new room (still bed-sharing)

  • Introduced a very slow pace version of the chair method to fade outside the room gradually

What did the mother say?

“You know the sleep regressions that babies go through every once in a while?

We were living a sleep regression for 3 years with Mohamed.

Mohamed hated sleep and would wake up and go to sleep exactly at the same times as we wake and sleep. I would have never thought we would not co sleep!

When i got in contact with Yasmine, Mohamed was 3.4 years so everyone was making fun of how will sleep training ever work in that age.

Im here to tell you that it worked and we’re so grateful that it did! I lost hope so many times in the process but Yasmine was always there to help us get through with it.

Mohamed now sleeps on his own, in his room, early! This was a dream!”

Rasha - Mother

I was able to support Mohamed’s family, through the sleep coaching program.

Through which I provided daily guidance and support based on the response and progress of Mohamed.
